The Australian Logistics Council has joined forces with SupplyChainJobz to provide the Transport & Logistics industry with a unique careers site on www.austlogistics.com.au
According to Hal Morris, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Logistics Council partnering with SupplyChainJobz is an integral part of the ALC’s overall strategy to develop the ‘Capable People Program of Work’.
“It is vital that we have the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time to ensure that the T&L industry is working effectively and efficiently. Having the ability to offer a careers site is a part of our overall strategy which includes: participation in Careers Expos, the launch of our new T&L Career FAQ book and the T&L DVD released by the Skills Council.” Mr Morris said.
“Our industry has a serious skills shortage which can no longer be ignored and the ALC careers site will greatly assist people to find jobs in T&L,”
According to Neil McFarlane, Commercial Manager for SupplyChainJobz the ALC careers site will enable the T&L industry to go to one portal to access all available jobs in the industry from senior executives through to entry level positions across all business areas including: operations, sales, commercial, finance & IT and human resources.
“The ALC careers site will bring job seekers, recruiters and employers together and ideally will help minimise the skills shortage issues within our industry.” Mr McFarlane said.
Key benefits of the ALC careers site will include the ability to have daily job vacancies, resume database search functionality, resume alerts and the ability to access niche positions including permanent, part-time and consulting roles.
